Expert Tip: The Photo ID

Almost every photo in the Photoclub has its own unique Photo ID. When you insert this ID into a text field, a clickable preview thumbnail will automatically appear after submitting. Clicking it opens the photo directly in the full-size view.

Integrate Photos Directly into Conversations

With the Photo ID, you can refer to a specific image without other members having to search for it first. This is especially useful for comments, forum posts, and private messages.

Some Practical Ideas

• Start a focused discussion about a photo in the forum.
• Link to a comparable image under a similar motif.
• Connect additional photos from the same series under your photo.
• Compare two differently edited versions of a picture.
• Ask a photographer for their opinion on a specific photo in a profile comment.
• Show a relevant example directly in a discussion about camera, lens, or composition.
• Recommend your favorite photo of another photographer to a member.

These are just a few possibilities. The more creatively you use the Photo ID, the easier it is to make photos the focal point of a conversation.
